Computational Intelligence Unconference UK 2014

26 Jul 2014
BT Centre, London

The Computational Intelligence Unconference UK is an informal meeting, in the United Kingdom, for like-minded people. An "unconference" tries to be almost opposite to a conference, it is informal and relaxed, it is about equal and fair discussions, and most importantly it is free (open to all, free to attend, and free food & drink).

Although the Computational Intelligence Unconference was co-founded by Daniel Lewis and Stephen Matthews, and the venue is sponsored by British Telecom (BT). The event will retain a grassroots approach, unattached to Daniel, Stephen and BT. This event is by and for each and every attendee of the unconference. In this respect, the unconference aims to be supportive and collaborative.

The Computational Intelligence Unconference UK will be an unconference for people involved in Computational Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems in general. There will be a particular focus on Fuzzy Set Theory / Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks and Evolutionary Computing, but other areas of application such as Data Mining, Bioinformatics, Computational Finance, Statistics and Optimisation

This year there will also be some strands of discussion on:

  • Cyber-Security
  • Engineering Design & Green Technology
  • Big Data, Data Science and "Deep Learning"
  • Visionary technology, Futurism and Transhumanism
